How to Add a Bank Account for R370 Payment?
SASSA has different payment methods to pay the clients in 2026. However, one of the best and easiest ways is to bank account transfer and a SASSA Black Card to get the payment from SASSA.
You can add your bank account for the SASSA SRD R370 grant payment in 2026. This will make it easy for you to get the payment on your payday without facing a rush. People who use the cash send payment methods have to visit the Cash Points and wait for hours to get the payments.
That is why you should go with the SASSA bank account method. In this guide, I will educate you on how you can add your bank account using the SRD portal online. I have also added my bank, so with my experience, you can add yours.
Why Choose a Bank Deposit or SASSA Black Card Option?
Choosing a bank account or SASSA Black Card is one of the easiest and safest ways to receive your SRD grant. Here are the main reasons:
- Direct Payment to Your Account: Your money is deposited directly into your bank account. No need to stand in long queues at cash points.
- Safe and Secure: You avoid carrying cash, which reduces the risk of loss or theft.
- Fast Access to Money: Payments are usually available on payday in your bank account, making it quick and convenient.
- 24/7 Access: With a bank account or Black Card, you can withdraw money anytime from ATMs, even outside SASSA operating hours.
- Easy Online Management: You can track your payments and check your balance online or via mobile banking.
- Avoiding Cash Point Crowds: Cash Send or cash pick-up methods often require waiting in long lines. A bank deposit or Black Card eliminates this hassle.
- Works with Any Bank: You can use almost any bank in South Africa to receive your R370 payment, making it flexible.
- Automatic Payment Every Month: Once your account is linked, you don’t need to visit SASSA repeatedly; payments come automatically each month.
- Convenient for Bills and Purchases: You can use your bank account or Black Card to pay bills, shop online, or withdraw money as needed.
- Helps Track Your Finances: Bank statements show your SASSA payments, which are useful for record-keeping and budgeting.
